J. SOCC (ISSN 1556-8733) is a peer-reviewed journal publishing articles of original research, review, and commentary on issues related to the civil commitment of sexual offenders, including assessment and treatment of sexual offenders. Typical topics may include

• statistical issues in the measurement of sexual offense recidivism and statistical identification of sexual offenders,
• relevant legal issues regarding sexual offense and the sexual perpetrator civil commitment process,
• prison and other punishment alternatives for sex offenders,
• clinical treatment for sexual offenders, and
• the penile plethysmograph as a tool to identify sexual interest and arousal.

Cutting edge articles on scientific research, reviews, and sexual offense law are invited.
